24-Hour Waiting Period for Abortion
The State of Florida has enacted a law (Statute 390.0111) that requires a person to have two appointments at least 24 hours apart to obtain an abortion. The first visit will include lab work, an ultrasound, educational and options counseling, and a meeting with a physician to discuss the abortion procedure. The second visit will include the actual abortion procedure.
