The time limit
6 weeks
Florida’s general limit
Pregnancy is dated from the first day of your last menstrual period, not the date of conception. With a 28-day cycle, that’s about two weeks after a missed period. Limited exceptions apply.
An in-person consultation and ultrasound are generally required at least 24 hours before treatment.
Florida requires abortion medication to be dispensed in person by a physician. It can’t be prescribed by telehealth or mailed.
Limited exceptions include specified medical circumstances and documented rape, incest, or human trafficking, and different time limits apply.
Past six weeks? Call us anyway. We’ll tell you whether an exception may apply, and if not, point you to resources for care elsewhere.
