Common Questions

How often should I have a gynecology exam?
Most women should have an annual well-woman exam starting at age 21. Your doctor may recommend more frequent visits if you have specific health concerns or are due for a Pap smear or HPV test.
What is a Pap smear and when do I need one?
A Pap smear screens for cervical cancer by collecting cells from the cervix. It is recommended every 3 years for women ages 21–65, or every 5 years combined with an HPV test for women 30 and older.
Is my visit completely confidential?
Yes — completely. Your visit, records, and all communications with our office are 100% private and protected under HIPAA.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we accept most major insurance plans. Annual well-woman exams are often covered at 100%. Call us and we will verify your coverage before your appointment.
