New Patients Are Always Welcome
Miami Women’s Center is always accepting new patients, whether you’re due for a routine check-up, managing an ongoing condition, or coming in for a specific concern for the first time. We know a first visit can feel a little overwhelming, so our team keeps the process simple from the moment you schedule.
Request an AppointmentHow to Prepare for Your First Visit
To save time at check-in, we provide new patient forms ahead of your appointment so you can complete them from home. When you arrive, please bring the following:
- A valid photo ID and your current insurance card
- A list of medications and supplements you’re currently taking
- Any relevant previous medical records, especially prior gynecologic, obstetric, or surgical history
- A list of questions or concerns you’d like to cover during your visit
Depending on the reason for your visit, your first appointment may include a review of your medical history, a discussion of your symptoms or goals, and — if appropriate — a physical exam or initial screening. Common first visits include an annual wellness exam, an evaluation for PCOS or hormonal symptoms, initial prenatal care, or a consultation about contraception options.
Before your visit, you may also want to confirm your coverage on our insurance page, or review our About page to learn more about the practice.
Our mission is to provide quality, unhurried care to every patient who walks through our door. For more information or to request an appointment, contact us today at (786) 931-6067.
Frequently Asked Questions for New Patients
Getting Started as a New Patient
How far in advance should I book my first appointment?
We recommend calling as soon as you know you’d like to be seen, especially for time-sensitive concerns like early pregnancy care. That said, our team works to accommodate new patients as quickly as possible at (786) 931-6067.
Do you accept my insurance?
We work with a wide range of insurance plans. Visit our insurance page to see accepted providers, or call our office to confirm your specific plan and benefits before your visit.
What if I don’t have my previous medical records yet?
It’s fine to come in without them for your first visit — we can still evaluate you and begin care. If you’d like, our office can help you request records from a previous provider once you sign a release form.
Can I be seen the same day for an urgent concern?
Call our office directly at (786) 931-6067 to explain your symptoms. Our staff will help determine the most appropriate and timely appointment based on your situation.
How long does a first visit typically take?
A new patient visit generally runs longer than a routine follow-up, since it includes a full history review and, often, an initial exam. Arriving a few minutes early to complete any last paperwork helps keep your visit on schedule.
What happens after my first appointment?
Your provider will walk you through any findings, next steps, or follow-up testing before you leave. If ongoing care or a specialized service is needed, we’ll help you schedule the appropriate follow-up directly.
Is parking or accessibility an issue at your Miami office?
Our Miami, FL office is designed to be accessible to all patients. If you have specific mobility or accessibility needs, let our front desk know when you schedule so we can accommodate you.
